It folded 10 years ago but was resurected in 1997.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution description<\/strong><br \/>\nThere are currently 40 members from around ayrshire actively trading. Names, addresses and offers or skills are in a directory and members trade anything from catering through to plants and plumbing. The currency is \u2018thistles\u2019 and the standard rate is 30 thistles per hour, which equates to \u00a36.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Timeframe<\/strong><br \/>\nRecent version running for 8 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Development phase<\/strong><br \/>\nDiffusion:<br \/>\nModel is easy to implicate elsewhere &#8211; a pack is available explaining how to start up a scheme.<br \/>\nMaturity:<br \/>\nIn terms of LETS this is a relatively young scheme which is still improving and maturing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Revenue\/costs model<\/strong><br \/>\nStarting up costs and subscriptions are around \u00a320 per member, other than that all trading is \u2018free\u2019 in normal monetary terms.
