{"id":29,"date":"2012-04-02T20:07:53","date_gmt":"2012-04-02T20:07:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sustainable-everyday-project.net\/ensciparisdesislab\/?p=29"},"modified":"2013-05-16T12:51:14","modified_gmt":"2013-05-16T12:51:14","slug":"science-is-fun-in-saclay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.sustainable-everyday-project.net\/ensciparisdesislab\/?p=29","title":{"rendered":"Science is fun in Saclay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/43455794?color=ffffff\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"650\" height=\"355\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">Twenty \u00a0years ago, nobody would have believed that brand new Paris-Saclay theme park could challenge some world-renowned theme park like Disneyland Paris.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">In the early 2010, Paris-Saclay territory was in the middle of a substantial change, facing various challenges, such as promoting all-year-long activities and services, including during holidays, when the camp<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">uses are e<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">mpty and silent.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">POLVI association in partnership with the academical teams decided to open the different entities\u2019 doors to the public, so to create a new kind of technology oriented tourism. The idea was pretty simple : enjoy the free student accommodations during public holidays, so to host families for a unique experience : enjoy the great innovative spirit Paris-Saclay\u2019s campus is filled with, through activities as fun as they are educative, all of that kept in realness by the fact some people actually work as science discoverers in this place.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">The visit is very adaptable to what the tourist wants to see. It can last from 2 hours (for the visit of the essential of one school, for example) to 4 or 5 days, and <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">focus<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"> any school or company present on the plateau. Each entity has built its own visit, which allow them to highlight their specialities and the excellence of their scientific <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">researches<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"> through the show of the labs and sometimes meeting with the scientists, but also to affirm its place on the campus, as those visits are made to be linked one with another.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">Over the demonstration of the now worldwidely renowned innovation campus, the science park is a way to democratize some of the knowledge which is produced on the plateau, and to maint<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">ain there an <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"color: #262626;\">economical activity all year long<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8212;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><em><strong>Science et d\u00e9couvertes pour tous\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/43455793?color=ffffff\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"650\" height=\"355\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">Il y a \u00e0 peine 20 ans, personne n\u2019aurait cru que le tout nouveau parc \u00e0 th\u00e8me de Paris-Saclay pourrait concurrencer des parcs d\u2019attraction mondialement connus tels que Disneyland Paris.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">AU d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 2010, le territoire de Paris-Saclay \u00e9tait au c\u0153ur d\u2019un changement essentiel, faisant face \u00e0 plusieurs d\u00e9fis, tels que promouvoir des services et des activit\u00e9s durant toute l\u2019ann\u00e9e, y compris pendant les vacances, quand le campus est vide et silencieux.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">L\u2019association POLVI, en partenariat avec les \u00e9quipes acad\u00e9miques, a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d\u2019ouvrir les portes des diff\u00e9rentes entit\u00e9s au public, de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un nouveau type de tourisme, orient\u00e9 vers la technologie. L\u2019id\u00e9e \u00e9tait assez simple\u00a0: profiter des infrastructures pour les \u00e9tudiants, libres, pour recevoir des familles pour une exp\u00e9rience unique\u00a0: savourer le grand esprit innovateur duquel est empreint le campus de Paris Saclay, \u00e0 travers des activit\u00e9s aussi amusantes qu\u2019\u00e9ducatives, tout en restant compl\u00e8tement dans la r\u00e9alit\u00e9, puisque certaines personnes travaillent effectivement en tant que chercheurs scientifiques sur ces lieux.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\">La visite peut s\u2019adapter tr\u00e8s facilement \u00e0 ce que le touriste veut voir. Elle peut durer de 2 heures (pour voir l\u2019essentiel d\u2019une \u00e9cole, par exemple),\u00a0\u00a0\u00e0\u00a0\u00a04 ou 5 jours, et comprendre toute \u00e9cole ou entreprise pr\u00e9sente sur le plateau.
