Usually, “foresighters” conduct a broad literature review before digging in the subject more specifically. In this case, it has been chosen to keep the subject open a bit longer… and explore it through a collective exercice of finding suprising and inspiring content/data/case/story… This more intuitive approach to look at a topic is interesting as it is open to non-trivial and alternative/unusual content, which is often hard to find in academic/scientific literature reviews.

In the end, this speed presentation format shall provide the team with a wide range of surprising and inspiring sub-subjects to investigate and should provide answers to those pending questions :

– What’s worth working on ?
– What triggers the interest of the audience (including DGs and policymakers as well as outside stakeholders) ?

NEXT STEPS

To start with and help define the policy lab’s speed presentation format, the core team (with SDS) will prepare presentations as an internal exercise that will be “criticized” (constructively) by the Unit team.

This “trial” session will be held on the 24th of March and only the core team + SDS will prepare presentations.

The “real” session will be held during the 1st “On-site session”, on the 20th of April.
