Did you get lost?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In Lomme, everyone spends their lives around their house, with the impression of belonging more to the neighbourhood than to the city. Hence the question, \u00ab\u00a0Well then, did you get lost?\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>when you find someone from Lomme a little bit too far from home. Espace Culturel Les Tisserands is found in the neighbourhood of Marais. Its actors find that the place lacks visibility and coherence, despite it offering a patchwork of activities welcoming an audience of all ages. How can we imagine its identity and visibility? How might we create a real meeting place?<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Living together in this cultural patchwork<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Around these questions, Poulp<\/em>(P\u00f4le d’Observation Urbaine aux Langages Pluridisciplinaires), has carried out a walking diagnosis and a sensitive mapping together with the associative actors of the neighbourhood of Marais. Three types of transformation have emerged in order to improve de living together within the building and to make it legible within the cultural fabric of the city. The unknown dimension of this approach lies in the neighbourhood\u2019s strong diversity, between the working-class \u00ab\u00a0natives\u00a0\u00bb and the newcomers, with no particular attachment to the area, motivated solely by land prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Settling in, signalling, disseminating <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The lines of action proposed after the investigations aim to reinforce the associative dimension in the place and imprint the space of Les Tisserands in the urban landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Settling in: weaving relations between the different users by facilitating each one\u2019s installation in the place. Appropriation is achieved through a shared, mobile and modular storage mechanism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Signalling: highlighting uses. Develop the building’s signage with information on the activities on the fa\u00e7ade and information on the understanding and the location of the different spaces on the ground, in the forecourt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disseminating: opening up the space to the city by creating signage to highlight other cultural places through a route linking all the institutions together. This signage would be subject to participative workshops, in order to involve the associative actors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
