Could a course focused on these issues build the needed capacity to overcome today\u2019s and tomorrow\u2019s health risks?<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Strengthening&nbsp;early warning and reducing risks<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Yonsei University\u2019s students are designing products, services and systems that contribute to achieving the SDGs&nbsp;3d:&nbsp;strengthening&nbsp;the capacity of all countries, and in particular developing&nbsp;countries, to establish early&nbsp;warning systems, reduce the risks and improve the management of national and global&nbsp;health risks. More specifically, they\u2019re designing to help people overcome the COVID-19 (and future&nbsp;pandemics), slowdown the outbreak and enhance treatment of diseases in South&nbsp;Korea.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Expected outcomes and effects<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Students are working in teams to develop a series of different ideas, ranging from masks that are easier to wear and maintain, to a map displaying disinfected shops, to an app that notifies vaccination schedules, etc. The visual outcomes include storyboards and schemes, diagrams and idea sketches of products and app screens.
