Preventive healthcare involves active citizenship, immunity and resilience. How can food policy design enable food citizenship, not only for this pandemic, but for any future catastrophe, as the climate crisis?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Food community: food policy design platform&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAll for Food and Food for All\u201d calls on collaboration at all levels. It is crucial to start the food network locally, wherein the food community of farmers, schools, hospitals and consolidators all become strategic partners facilitating healthy food distribution and serve as a prototype for advocacy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Food Labs for Thai School Lunches<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Food Lab in Nonthaburi city, near Bangkok, acts as a prototype for a healthy school, under the food policy design project. Providing healthy food for school kids relies on 3 things: the Thai School Lunch program creating a central menu for 10 to 15 schools, the production of a farm plan and the transport consolidators completing 20km. In addition, farmers facilitate monthly green markets in school yards, representing a great opportunity to connect with parents and different neighbourhoods. Most schools have learning gardens for their students, who learn a great deal about food and farming through interdisciplinary approaches. This model has been used before, but is even more relevant after the pandemic, as a learning platform for design students, school administrators and policy makers, within the perspective of a New Food Community Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Immunity through healthy food<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Healthy eating strengthens the immune system and prevents infectious diseases. Thailand has recorded only 58 Coronavirus deaths since the epidemic began. Within the country\u2019s public health system and their active health promotion, a healthy food program is one of the top priorities of the Thai Health Promotion Foundation. The project, together with its 50 partners, are working on a 10-year plan to achieve local and healthy food networks nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"
