Laetitia Wolff<a href=\"applewebdata:\/\/189FA8CC-7DAA-4CC3-8CDE-E4E6F3408D6B#_ftn1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a>raised at the opening of the first \u00ab\u00a0round table\u00a0\u00bb workshop entitled&nbsp;<em>Design &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/greatergoodstudio.com\">Greater Good Studio<\/a>&nbsp; in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KQfaNz384zI\">video<\/a> introduced the workshop by taking Parsons New School\u2019s students as a witnesses: \u00ab\u00a0<em>You all have a professional ethic, but since it is not formalised, it remains unclear. We wanted to make it operational\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>. Aye presents his&nbsp;<em>\u00ab\u00a0Gut Check\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>or&nbsp;<em>\u00ab\u00a0checklist of what you have in your gut\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>with 20 questions you should ask yourself before saying \u00ab\u00a0yes\u00a0\u00bb let\u2019s do this project or \u00ab\u00a0no\u00a0\u00bb let\u2019s not.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">B\u00e9atrice Auxent, representing the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sustainable-everyday-project.net\/ville-collaborative\/2020\/09\/10\/lets-map-factory-chimneys-together\/\">POC Cartographie Participative des Chemin\u00e9es<\/a>&nbsp;insists on the importance of maintaining counter-powers in a diversified professional commitment which she illustrates both by working for a territorial administration and by being president of the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sustainable-everyday-project.net\/ville-collaborative\/2020\/09\/10\/telling-memories-to-build-the-future\/\">Berkem Label neighbourhood association<\/a> which reflects citizen\u2019s voice in front of the public authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Building a shared goal<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">According to B\u00e9atrice Auxent,&nbsp;<em>\u00ab\u00a0a common interest space needs to be collectively set up at the beginning of any multi-partner project\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, i.e. taking the time to discuss and establish a shared objective between stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">Georges Aye, pragmatic as he is, makes the sponsor(s) complete gaps in a sentence: WE WANT&#8230;a person\/group of people&#8230;TO&#8230; new behaviour&#8230;. For example, we want children in primary schools to go into secondary school seamlessly; we want landlords and tenants to think about their long-term relationship, and so on. The collective formulation of what could be called \u00ab\u00a0a project question\u00a0\u00bb, as opposed to what a research question for a thesis is, ensures a form of explicit contract between stakeholders.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Working in the gaps<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">EDF R&amp;D&rsquo;s Design Exploration Laboratory, together with the National School of Decorative Arts, intend to explore the territory\u2019s \u00ab\u00a0cold spots\u00a0\u00bb, i.e. Lille Metropolis\u2019 forgotten places, through the POC <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sustainable-everyday-project.net\/ville-collaborative\/2020\/09\/11\/what-to-do-where-there-is-almost-nothing\/\">POC M\u00e9tamorphoses Silencieuses&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">).&nbsp;Anna Bernagozzi, a professor of the Decorative Arts School, insists on designing things based on the territory, on people\u2019s needs and which aims to rebuild territories\u2019 resilience by working at the interstices, places that offer the opportunity to reinvent themselves, abandoned and forgotten places, where there is less tension.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">In echo with these words, but on a completely different scale, B\u00e9atrice Auxent, who also chairs the association <a href=\"https:\/\/vivacites-hauts-de-france.org\">VivaCit\u00e9 Hauts-de-France<\/a>,&nbsp;a network of actors working towards urban environment education, holds conferences&nbsp;<em>\u00ab\u00a0at noon, so that people can participate without having to seek the agreement of their hierarchy\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>. Interstices, rather than prime-time, are conducive to restoring the ability to act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>An approach of \u201cmodesty and serendipity\u201d<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">Audrey Alonso and Soumaya Nader of&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/cargocollective.com\/poulp\">&nbsp;<em>Poulp<\/em><\/a> collective explain how, within the framework of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sustainable-everyday-project.net\/ville-collaborative\/fr\/2020\/07\/06\/tu-tes-perdue\/\">POC Les Tisserands<\/a>, a centre for associations in Lomme, they seek&nbsp;<em>to \u00ab\u00a0give the power to the citizens\u00a0\u00bb.\u00a0\u00bbWe enter the PMU. At the beginning people snub us a little, but then we start to discuss with them and it\u2019s only later that we talk about the survey we&rsquo;re doing\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>. For us, as it is being developed in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sustainable-everyday-project.net\/ville-collaborative\/2020\/09\/11\/design-acupuncture\/\">catalogue of the Maison POC Collaborative City<\/a>&nbsp;, this approach is part of a \u00ab\u00a0Design Acupuncture\u00a0\u00bb: from the meticulous analysis of all the acupuncture points of the territory, fifteen lines of force representing a more collaborative city, emerge. It is a structurally \u00ab\u00a0bottom-up\u00a0\u00bb approach. At the same time, the map puts the different contributions into perspective.
