Focus on Growing, Delivering and Enjoying

We have chosen to approach urban food system from three angles in our workshops, reports and Local Action plans:

  • GROWING and producing food in the city, in gardens, in parks, on rooftops, on balconies, on derelict lands…
  • DELIVERING food stuffs in a more sustainable and less carbon intensive way;
  • ENJOYING more sustainable food in canteens & households.

Bristol and Brussels shortlisted for European Green Capital  2015

The two partner cities have been chosen as finalists along with Glasgow and Ljubljana for the European Green Capital 2015 Award organised by the European Commission.  The Award is an annual prize that goes to one city, singling out its environmental performance. While the award does not include specific indicators for the sustainability of the food system it does appreciate its contribution to climate change mitigation.
