POC Insolille
Let’s explore Lille’s hidden side!
An interactive treasure hunt
Insolille is a mobile app, imagined by designers and students of the Institut Supérieur de Design de Valenciennes, that offers a rather unusual discovery of Lille, of its places and local events, in the shapeof a treasure hunt,to be completedalone or with others. It aims to show playfully and creatively some of the neighbourhood’s hidden sides, by following two main missions: to make tourists and citizensdiscover, or rediscover,LilleMetropole, but also to allow them to share their favourite places, along with all the neighbourhood’s secrets, whichthey only know about.
An application powered by citizens
The mobile app is designed to be as collaborative as possible: designers and students want residents to be involved in the app’s construction and in the data collection, so that the experience is nearly an immersion into their daily lives.
The app includes an ‘explorer mode’ that allows people to discover the city, on their own or with a group, depending on each one’s interests. The most experienced users, thanks to the ‘guide mode’, have the possibility to create interactive itineraries and share their experiences and stories. In addition to creating interaction in the city, this project also allows the city to promote its local activities and local shops.
